  • James Hurrell
    Managing Director, Wincanton Dedicated Grocery

    James has spent 28 years in the logistics industry and leads Wincanton’s Dedicated Grocery business with a focus on safety, service excellence, and innovation.

    He is responsible for ensuring the wellbeing of colleagues, delivering brilliant service and cost performance for customers, and driving frictionless experiences through industry collaboration. James is passionate about unlocking opportunities; for people, for customers, and for the communities we serve. A proud Retail Trust ambassador, he brings energy and purpose to everything he does.

    Outside of work, James enjoys time with his family, playing sports and coaching grassroots cricket.

  • Richard Pope
    Account Director, Wincanton Dedicated Grocery

    Richard brings 21 years of experience in logistics across multiple sectors and global geographies and leads the account development and growth agenda for Wincanton Dedicated Grocery Business.

    He is responsible for ensuring an excellent customer experience and driving growth through long-term strategic partnerships with like-minded businesses. Richard is motivated by working consultatively to solve problems and create sustainable value in customers’ supply chains.

    Outside of work, he keeps busy chasing after his two young daughters and enjoys staying fit and following Liverpool FC.

  • Dean Hill
    Operations Director, Wincanton Dedicated Grocery

    Dean has over 40 years of experience in logistics and leads Wincanton’s Dedicated Grocery operations with a strong focus on safety, service, and strategic planning.

    He is accountable for delivering site Health and Safety plans, ensuring colleagues are safe every day, and overseeing operational and budgetary performance across the network. Dean works closely with Customer Directors to grow the business and ensure all contractual KPIs are met. He is driven by creating secure, long-term opportunities for colleagues and continually improving depot performance and perception.

    Outside of work, Dean enjoys family time, golf, football – especially QPR – and going to the gym.

  • Laura Morrison
    Operations Director, Wincanton Dedicated Grocery

    Laura has 25 years of experience in logistics and leads operations across Wincanton’s Dedicated Grocery core customer base.

    She is responsible for driving operational excellence, continuous improvement, and commercial performance. Laura is passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and collaborative environment for her colleagues, with a strong focus on wellbeing, development, and succession. She is committed to exceeding expectations and making a positive impact for customers and colleagues alike.

    Outside of work, Laura is active in community volunteering, grassroots football, and is a founder member of Women in Logistics.

  • Penny Hamilton
    Head of People & Wellbeing Lead, Wincanton Dedicated Grocery

    Penny brings over 25 years’ experience in HR, progressing from an onsite People Manager to Head of People. She leads the people strategy, overseeing employee relations, pay negotiations, and all aspects of the colleague lifecycle.

    Penny plays a key role in business growth and change management, partnering closely with and advising the leadership team. She is proud to lead on wellbeing strategy and is passionate about creating a culture where colleagues feel valued, supported, and safe.

    Outside of work, Penny is a proud mum and grandmother, with family being her greatest source of joy and motivation.

  • Jeanette Turner
    Head of Finance, Wincanton Dedicated Grocery

    Jeanette has over 25 years’ experience in logistics, having worked across several leading 3PLs. She leads operational finance and commercial strategy supporting growth, renewals and compliance.

    As a strategic business partner to the leadership team, Jeanette ensures financial rigour and builds strong customer relationships based on trust and experience. She is passionate about driving efficiency, developing high-performing teams, and delivering cost-effective, ethical solutions.

    Outside of work, Jeanette enjoys home renovation projects, spending time with her family and dog, going to the gym, and learning to play the piano.
